ABOUT ME
HOLA!
My name is Ashley Landavazo and I am a Production Designer. What is a Production Designer? I am the project manager and designer for the visual part of your project. I will handle the Art Department budget, make the hires, manage the team, provide project check-ins, and handle everything, so you can walk on set and see your vision come to life. I am available if you need real-time changes made on your project, assistance wrapping everything up, or being the loudest cheerleader for your project. I am a professional, a hard worker, I live honestly, and I value art above all else. I hold myself to a high standard and I consider myself the Leslie Knope of the Art Department, I have the binders and everything!
I am passionate about helping visual artists bring their projects to life, whether through film, photography, digital media, or marketing activations. I enjoy the rush of working on commercials, TV, creative social media strategies, the fun of scrappy indie filmmaking and all of the hype of post-production events. If you have an idea that you want created, myself and my team of professionals can build it for you. Whether it's a physical world or a digital one I can make it happen!
My path to film has been an interesting one, but like all things in life, every bump in the road on my journey to film has empowered me and prepared me. While growing up, I attended many leadership programs that taught me how to problem solve with others, speak up when necessary, and inspire others to complete projects. I studied Psychology in college with hopes of being an art therapist one day. My schooling taught me all about the little nuances that make us up and how quirky we all are. After college, I moved into the business world and worked my way up to become the Director of Operations at a startup tech company. In this position, I learned many valuable skills including, accounting, HR, contract negotiation, team management, project management, and more. All of this to say, I am an organized leader who lives in color and fun, and will complete your project and meet your expectations both on a large team of talented creatives and working alone.
With my time in film, I have seen my work in many film festivals such as, Tribeca, SXSW, Chattanooga Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Austin Film Festival, Florida Film Festival, and many more. My work has also been mentioned in The Hollywood Reporter, The New Yorker, Slash Film, and many others. Additionally, my work has been seen in commercials nationwide and on platforms like YouTube where my short films have been viewed over 300k times.
At the end of the day, I love what I do. I work hard and never truly feel like I work a day in my life. I like to run a tight ship and still have fun, just like Mrs. Doubtfire! I will be honest with you and will be supportive of you and your vision for the project. I can't wait to work with you and make all of your dreams come true!
